Start Your Transformation
Let me tell you a real, brief story about me today. A very small one though.
I started my journey at the age of 17 years in business and from the first month only I initiated cash flow. Although that time it was not much money but I was a kid then, doing business, learning about it and decently looking forward to build my own future. For the next few years, I had a lot of struggles, troubles and whatnot. As I was working for many foreign clients at that time, I easily came to contact with many businessmen across the world. Many of them had one thing in common and I shared the same. It was ‘Vision’.
I had this vision for my own business even before I started actually. I just knew where I have to lead myself, although not knowing how to. Well, time has been my biggest teacher and will be yours too if you just have the vision unmoving.
Having a crisp, specific and realistic vision is the core of business. If it goes wrong, your business will face issues and you will have a hard time solving those issues. The very word ‘Vision’ stems from Latin language and it literally means ‘to observe or to see’. We are all identified with something; a religion, a social status, family values etc., and business is no exception. If you don’t see what you become in the future, then you don’t transform. Kind of law of attraction! Isn’t it?
· Let me share a thoughtful quote from movie star Tom Cruise, "I've never made a film that I didn't believe in, you know? However the picture turns out, I've always given everything to it." You see the vision and courage to reach the destination made him the successful superstar he has been. If you went through Tom's early interviews in the 80s, he always pinpointed what he wanted and what he didn't. Such a visionary he is.
Now what? You have a vision and you concur the world. Is that easy? Well not at all. You start to have a vision when you know your subject pretty well. In business, you must not start it if you are not absolutely passionate about what you plan to make of it. You don’t do business to impress society or make money, you do it because you can’t contain yourself with passion on whatever you are engaged with vision. Otherwise, whatever market or industry you belong to, in time you will be made of it. This is very sad but ugly truth. Well, I never said truth was sweet. It is always bitter.
Business is a lifetime commitment and 24*7 hours of contemplation. I really cannot imagine three consecutive days in my life where I didn’t think of something related to business. Yes, it gives you a headache sometimes, but you signed up for it yourself.
Life is, anyway, not a fairy tale but more of a war zone. Are you a warrior within? Time to find out.
